Baby faces, grown-up celebration
Bring a favorite piece of the bride and groom's story to the reception with cutouts of their baby or childhood photos. Hold your own throwback face beside you for a then-and-now portrait, swap signs for a playful couple's picture, or give friends and family copies to hold up around the newlyweds.
Plan your reception packs by photo
Count how many people will hold each face at the same time. A few cutouts can rotate through a photo booth; a coordinated group picture needs one for each guest you want holding a sign. Set aside the bride and groom's own copies before planning the guest handout.
- For a few favorite people: choose a single 12x18 cutout or a 3-, 5-, or 10-pack from the options above.
- For a larger reception group: compare the 25-, 50-, and 100-pack 12x18 options with your headcount for each photo.
- For both faces: plan a separate same-photo selection for the bride and another for the groom. For example, choose a 10-pack of the bride's photo and a separate 10-pack of the groom's photo for a balanced mix.
Each pack repeats one photo design. Choose the size and quantity, upload that person's photo, and wait for the upload to finish before adding the selection to your cart. Repeat with a separate item for the other person or a different image. For help coordinating larger quantities or several designs, visit our bulk orders page.
Give an older photo its best chance to shine
Start with the original digital file or a clear scan of the printed photo, rather than a screenshot or a compressed copy shared in a message. If you photograph an old print, lay it flat in even light and avoid glare, shadows, and angled distortion. Check the face closely for blur or pixelation before uploading: enlarging a photo can make those flaws more noticeable.
Choose a picture with the whole head visible and leave it uncropped. If the photo includes several people, use the order notes to identify whose head you want. For more guidance, see our photo selection tips.
Have the throwback moment ready
- Choose the moment: plan a then-and-now couple's portrait, a wedding-party group shot, or a photo-booth round with both baby faces.
- Choose a helper: ask one person to keep the bride and groom's stacks separate and hand them out just before the photo.
- Coordinate the scene: let your photographer or coordinator know when the signs will appear. Check the venue's prop rules and keep aisles, exits, and other guests' views clear.
- Keep copies for later: collect shared props after the group shot so they are ready for the photo booth or another round of reception pictures.
Wedding baby-photo cutout questions
Can one pack include both the bride and groom?
Each pack uses one photo design. Order the bride's photo as one item and the groom's photo as a separate item, choosing the pack size for each. The same applies if you want baby and current photos of one person.
How many cutouts should we order for the reception?
Base your count on the moment you are planning. Shared photo-booth props can pass between guests, while a group shot needs enough copies for everyone holding a face at once. Count bride and groom designs separately and include any copies you want to keep for the couple.
Can I use a scanned baby photo?
A clear scan can be a good starting point. Use the best-quality original print you have, keep the full head visible, and inspect the scan for blur, glare, or damage. A blurry source will still look blurry when enlarged; choose a clearer photo when possible and upload it uncropped.
Do the photos have to be baby pictures?
A favorite childhood portrait works for the throwback idea too. Pick a clear photo and an expression the person being celebrated will enjoy seeing in the wedding pictures.
What should we check before ordering for our wedding date?
Allow time for photo preparation, production, delivery, and organizing the props before the reception. Review the shipping policy and available checkout services for your destination. Production and transit are separate steps; if your date is close, ask the team about timing before ordering.
